Terms of Service — ScootShare

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ScootShare, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this platform.

2. Use of the Platform

ScootShare is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects scooter owners (hosts) with travellers (riders). We do not own the vehicles listed on our platform. We facilitate connections, provide payment processing, and offer support — but the rental agreement is between the host and rider.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to make bookings or list a scooter. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use ScootShare.

4. Bookings and Cancellations

Bookings are confirmed instantly upon payment. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the pickup time are fully refunded. Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup are non-refundable.

5. Liability

ScootShare provides basic damage protection on all bookings. However, we are not liable for accidents, injuries, fines, or other incidents arising from the use of a rented scooter. All riders are required to hold a valid International Driving Permit.

6. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the platform for illegal purposes, provide false information, manipulate reviews, or use a scooter outside of the agreed rental terms.
