1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account (such as name, email and phone), requesting a scooter (such as dates and booking details), listing a vehicle, uploading private review evidence such as an STNK, or contacting support. ScootShare does not currently collect payment-card details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve ScootShare, process booking requests, review listings and accounts, communicate with you, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. Payment processing purposes will be added only when a payment provider and the required notices are live.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share relevant booking details with the Host when needed to fulfill a booking. We do not sell your personal data. We use service providers, including Supabase and other infrastructure or communication providers, to operate ScootShare. The provider list will be updated before any payment integration goes live.
4. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as it is needed for the stated purpose, security, disputes or legal obligations. ScootShare is defining a reviewed retention schedule for booking, STNK, verification, communication and future financial records before public paid launch.
5. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@scootshare.app.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
7. Communication via WhatsApp
When you use our services or contact us via WhatsApp, your phone number and message content are processed through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform to create and manage listings and bookings, respond to enquiries, and provide support. Meta processes this data as an independent controller under its own terms.
